Soltec Solar Tracker Obtains Certification In Brazil

Spain-based manufacturer Soltec Renewable Energies has obtained FINAME certification for its SF utility single-axis tracker from the Brazilian National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES). The FINAME program provides special financing conditions to companies acquiring equipment manufactured in Brazil.

“Since Soltec opened its Brazil factory in September 2015, obtaining FINAME accreditation has been one of our top priorities. The FINAME seal allows our customers to get access to financing sources under special terms and conditions,” asserts Carlos Mena, Soltec’s country director for Brazil.

Soltec says it offers a complete tracking solution for solar plants in Brazil. Local manufacturing also means that Soltec is now able to offer shorter lead times to customers and better customer service support, the company adds.

“Brazil is a key market for solar, and we are planning around 700 MW of solar tracking installations in the next 12 months. The FINAME certification will help us meet this objective,” says Soltec CEO Raul Morales.
