Sopogy Inc. has introduced SopoFlare, which the company says is the first concentrating solar power (CSP) technology designed specifically for rooftop installations, and includes an easy mounting and fastening system.
SopoFlare is used to create steam, solar thermal air conditioning, drying, dehumidification, desalination and hot water. The system easily retrofits into existing facilities, reducing natural gas consumption, Sopogy says. SopoFlare combines the features and applications of Sopogy's SopoNova 4.0 concentrating solar thermal collector, in a smaller, lightweight, environmentally rugged collector, the company adds.
