Germany-based Sovello plans to launch its Project Pro Module, under which the company will manufacture solar modules in Ontario. Production in the first quarter of 2011 will be in limited quantities, with up to 2 MW per month scheduled the rest of the year.
Sovello is partnering with AS Solar Inc., of Mt. Albert, Ont., to be the anchor distributor of its Ontario-made modules. AS Solar Inc. is a distributor of complete solar PV systems for residential and commercial markets.
