Rolling Meadows, Ill.-headquartered Spartanics has developed the Spartanics Finecut-Plus rotary-combination laser die-cutting and rotary die-cutting system. The system is designed for solar product manufacturers who seek the speed and capabilities of rotary die cutters without the associated lifetime costs for dies, the company says.
Capabilities include rotary die cutting at speeds of up to 400 feet per minute and tool-free laser die cutting with accurate single-source lasers at speeds of up to 300 feet per minute. For rotary sheeting needs, the system can cut variable lengths twice as fast as traditional guillotine sheeters, Spartanics adds.
Add-on modules for UV coatings, lamination, slitting and other needs are also available.
