SpectraWatt Inc., a Hopewell Junction, N.Y.-based PV cell manufacturer that filed for bankruptcy in August, says it will be auctioning its intellectual property (IP) on Dec. 15.
SpectraWatt expects to conduct a live public auction sale of its IP assets at 11:00 a.m. EST. The auction will be conducted at the offices of Scouler & Co. at 100 Crescent Ct., Ste. 700, Dallas, Texas 75201, and via teleconference.
SpectraWatt says it has engaged in substantial research and development (R&D) in solar cell materials development. As a result of this R&D, along with its initial acquisition of certain IP from Intel, SpectraWatt has several IP assets to offer at auction.
Interested parties can obtain detailed information on this auction, including a full IP catalog, by contacting Richard J. Haug, president and chief operating officer of SpectraWatt at rick.haug@spectrawatt.com. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed, the company notes.
