National University, headquartered in La Jolla, Calif., has completed an 852 kW PV installation at two campuses in San Diego. The project was installed by SPG Solar.
The two rooftop solar installations are located at the Spectrum Business Park Campus and a solar carport system spanning three parking locations at the Technology and Health Sciences Center in Kearny Mesa. SPG Solar arranged a power purchase agreement for the systems, which are owned by an indirect subsidiary of Integrys Energy Services Inc.
With over 3,000 solar panels, the rooftop and carport systems are expected to generate more than 1.4 GWh of electricity annually. The energy produced will provide up to 85% of the electricity at the Technology and Health Sciences Center and 35% of the electricity at the Spectrum Business Park Campus.
