SPG Solar, a Novato, Calif.-based developer of distributed solar projects, has made two appointments to its executive team: Tom Sandman, formerly of GE, has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, and Lin Johnson, most recently with MLJ Energy Group, has been named general counsel and vice president.
An CFO, Sandman brings extensive experience in energy and financial services from his 29 years at GE, where he held the position of finance leader for global wind projects at GE's renewable energy division.
Johnson has over 25 years of experience providing legal advice to corporations and businesses with a focus in the energy industry. With MLJ Energy Group, she played a leading role in advising diverse energy clients on renewable energy transactions, power plant acquisitions and strategies for asset optimization in the wholesale power market.
