Spire Corp., a provider of capital equipment and turnkey manufacturing lines to produce photovoltaic modules, and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) integration services for solar systems, says it has hired Stuart Stott as vice president of solar systems.

Stott brings to Spire extensive experience in developing large-scale power projects, as well as building sales organizations and strategic partnerships for organizations ranging from start-ups in rapid growth stages to multibillion-dollar utilities. Most recently, he served as the global and renewables category manager at Public Service Enterprise Group in New Jersey, where he led solar EPC contracts totaling over 100 MW in capacity.

Stott's two-decade career in energy and construction management began at Southern Company (now Mirant), where he managed development projects throughout Asia, and has included senior management roles at Invensys and K. Hovnanian.
