Spire Corp. says it has established a wholly owned subsidiary, Spire Solar Technologies Pvt. Ltd., that will have an office in Bangalore, India.
Harjinder Wahra, who joined Spire in 2008 as vice president of solar cell lines, will lead the office. There has been an influx of solar activity throughout India, especially after its prime minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, launched the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, Spire notes.
