Spire Corp., which provides turnkey solar factories and capital equipment to manufacture photovoltaic modules, has entered into a multi-year, multi-system contract to provide key module-line equipment to Trina Solar Ltd.
Spire says it will provide Trina Solar with multiple Spi-Sun Simulator 4600 Single Long Pulse (4600 SLP) systems. The 4600 SLP has recently been selected for use at research and certification test facilities, such as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
