Sputnik Engineering AG says it has increased the guaranteed availability of its SolarMax central inverter to 97%. Flawless inverter operation is guaranteed for 355 days per year.
Should the PV system fail unexpectedly for more than 10 days per year, Sputnik will pay loss-of-yield compensation of 1.80 euros per kW of installed AC inverter output from day 11 during the summer, and 0.80 euros during the winter.
‘With our new availability warranty, we are offering added assurance for our customers. The clear calculation formula creates optimum transparency,’ says Stefan Burri, technical sales support director at Sputnik.
Availability information is reported in CSV format. Sputnik customers receive the data via e-mail on a monthly basis. There are no additional costs for Sputnik's service response.
