Sputnik Engineering GmbH, a developer, distributor and servicer of grid-tied solar inverters, has moved its operations from Stockach, Germany, on Lake Constance to Neuhausen, near Stuttgart. The new address is Sputnik Engineering GmbH, Schurwaldstrabe 12, 73765 Neuhausen auf den Fildern, Germany.

‘This move underscores our commitment to photovoltaic technology in Germany and equips us for further growth,’ comments Hans-Thomas Fritzsche, managing director at Sputnik.

According to the company, the spacious premises at Neuhausen provide plenty of room for further expansion. The relocation increases from 350 square meters to 500 square meters and doubles warehousing space to almost 1,000 square meters. A further 500 square meters are available when needed. This arrangement allows Sputnik scope for handling short-term fluctuations in demand. Customer proximity has also been improved, as Neuhausen is on the Esslingen motorway access, not far from the ICE railway station and Stuttgart Airport

Sputnik Engineering AG is aiming to manufacture inverters producing a total of 275 MW this year and to grow the headcount at its Swiss headquarters and three subsidiaries in Germany, Spain and Italy from 150 to 220 by the end of the year.
