SolarMax string inverters from Sputnik Engineering AG have been approved for use in Portuguese solar power plants. The four devices in the SolarMax S series, which feature nominal outputs from 1.8 kW to 4.6 kW, received the official certificate from the Portuguese government office.
‘In particular, Portugal promotes small solar power plants with very high rates of remuneration,’ notes Fernando Sanchez Garcia, managing director of Sputnik's Spanish branch office in Madrid.
Sputnik recently released a string inverter with a nominal output of 3.68 kW designed specifically for the Portuguese market. The company will supply the Portuguese market from its Spanish subsidiary.
