Sputnik Engineering plans to open a new production facility in Biel, Switzerland, next year to accommodate increased demand for its SolarMax S string inverter series.
The new building on Langfeldweg is located five kilometers from the company's headquarters in Hoheweg. Thanks to a usable surface area of 6,600 square meters, Sputnik says it will have sufficient space for its rapid expansion. The company will be able to produce up to 100,000 string inverters in this space.
Sputnik will also continue to produce its SolarMax central inverters on Ringstrasse in Nidau, Switzerland. At the Biel facility, the company plans to focus on development, marketing, sales, quality management, personnel and finance.
