Sputtering Materials Inc. (SMI), a company specializing in copper indium gallium (CIG) thin-film physical vapor deposition target material development, is now offering high-density (99%+) planar targets for thin-film solar manufacturers.
The company says casted targets feature high-density materials that give technicians greater control and better material utilization. Planar target sizes range from two to six inches in diameter and up to six square inches for tile casting for multi-tile CIG target assemblies. SMI can also provide larger custom sizes on a development basis.
