Standard Metals Processing Creates Solar Power Subsidiary

Nevada-based Standard Metals Processing Inc. has created a subsidiary company to pursue the development of renewable energy business opportunities, including a solar power business. Standard Renewable Energy Inc., the new subsidiary company, will obtain subleases for the parent company's land.

According to Sharon Ullman, chairwoman and CEO of Standard Metals Processing, the company has concluded that considerations are favorable for developing renewable energy projects – including solar power projects – on acreage it is not otherwise using for milling services activities.

"Through the creation of Standard Renewable Energy Inc., we now have a structure that can house the development of any such initiatives, including possibly facilitating the financing of renewable energy projects,’ Ullman says.
