Standard Solar Inc. has completed the installation of a 205 kW photovoltaic system on the roof of the Department of Energy (DOE) building in Washington, D.C. The DOE selected SunPower Corp. to design the installation and provide the solar panels, and Standard Solar led the installation.
The installation includes 891 SunPower 230 W solar modules that cover more than 14,000 square feet of roof space – about 1/3 of an acre. The panels have been active and producing solar electricity since August 1.
