Standard Solar Developing 598 kW Project In Atlantic City

0

Standard Solar Inc., a developer, installer and financier of solar electric systems for commercial, government and residential customers, plans to develop a 598 kW solar electric system for Atlantic City, N.J. The project marks Standard Solar's entrance into the New Jersey market, the company says.

The system, which will comprise approximately 2,500 Trina Solar panels on the city's Public Works building, is expected to produce 51% of the power requirement for the building and is projected to generate approximately 803 MWh of electricity per year.

This energy reduction could potentially save the city $50,373 in the first year of the power purchase agreement and $454,611 over the 15-year life of the agreement with Standard Solar, according to the company. Standard Solar will finance, install and maintain the installation.

Installation of the system is expected to begin in late November.
