Standard Solar Inc., a turnkey provider of solar energy systems focused on the Mid-Atlantic region, has raised $8.5 million to fund geographic expansion and scale up the company's ability to serve residential and commercial markets.
Most of the funds will be used to scale up the company's marketing initiatives and overall expansion, as well as enhance the financial, operational and customer-service capabilities needed to support the expansion. Truecast Capital of Middleburg, Va., completed the financing round with investments from several private and institutional investors.
