Sandy Spring Friends School (SSFS), a pre-K through 12 co-ed college preparatory Quaker school in Montgomery County, Md., plans to install a 473.7 kW solar photovoltaic system at its campus.
Standard Solar Inc. will design and install the project, which is expected to be ground-mounted and grid-tied.
Installation is expected to begin in June. The project is being developed by UGI Performance Solutions and will be owned by UGI Energy Services. SSFS has entered into a power purchase agreement with UGI Energy Services to buy the electricity generated by the array at a fixed cost.
