Tustin, Calif.-based Stout & Burg Electric Inc. (SBE) says it was selected by SunPower Corp. to build the electrical installation to support a 4970-panel, 1.13 MW solar array at the FedEx Distribution Center in Rialto, Calif.
Due to the site's rooftop configuration, innovative design and engineering were required to effectively and safely route cables and conduit from the roof into the equipment pad, the company notes. The project was completed in June.
SBE is an Elite Electrical Contractor for SunPower Corp. The company adds that it is also partnering with SunPower for other projects, such as a carport solar array installation for the Rancho California Water District in Temecula.
