Chapel Hill, N.C.-based Strata Solar has unveiled plans for a 100 MW solar farm in Warsaw, N.C. According to the company, the project will be the largest of its kind within the state and one of the largest solar farms on the East Coast.
Strata Solar plans to submit the project to the utilities commission within the next month and break ground at the end of this year. Construction of the farm will last approximately 10 to 12 months and will require a crew of nearly 400 people for the duration of the build.Â
