SunDurance Energy, a utility-scale PV project developer, has won a contract to design and build a 3.25 MW solar energy system at United Stationers' distribution center in Cranbury, N.J.
KDC Solar will own the project and lease the roof space from the building owner, The Sudler Cos., and sell clean energy to the tenant, United Stationers, under a long-term power purchase agreement. Using 14,000 solar panels, the system will provide approximately 90% of United Stationers' electricity needs, according to SunDurance Energy.
Construction is expected to start early this year and is scheduled to be completed before fall.
