SunEdison Closes Financing To Build 60 MW Solar Plant In California

SunEdison has closed on construction financing underwritten by Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. to construct the 60 MW Regulus solar power plant in Kern County., Calif.

Regulus will feature approximately 250,000 SunEdison Silvantis polysilicon solar modules. SunEdison is managing the construction of the plant and will provide solar asset monitoring and management services when it goes into operation later this year.

‘Regulus is our largest North America project to date and is evidence of the momentum we are building in the California utility scale solar market,’ says Bob Powell, president for North America at SunEdison.
