SunEdison, a provider of solar energy services and subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials, has officially opened its new headquarters in Belmont, Calif.
The company was joined by California Gov. Jerry Brown, as well as other government officials and special guests, at the opening ceremony. Brown noted that the addition of the SunEdison headquarters is a great step toward building California from the nation's to the world's leader in solar energy, and showcasing that California is open for business.
SunEdison says it has more than 340 MW of solar energy generation capacity deployed across 500 government, commercial and utility solar energy projects.
