SunEdison has appointed Jaime A. Smith vice president of sales, North America. Smith assumes responsibility for business development and account management across SunEdison initiatives in the commercial, real estate investment trust, utility and public sectors.
Smith has held CEO and general manager positions in privately held and public companies ranging from start-ups to large industry leaders. He joins SunEdison from NVR Inc., a national homebuilder, where he was general manager of operations, responsible for developing and leading a sales and marketing organization covering more than 40 communities in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
While at NVR, Smith introduced Energy Star-qualified homes, making NVR the first major public builder in the Washington, D.C., market to work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to address the growing demand for energy-efficient and green construction.
