SunEnergy1 has begun installing a 20 MW solar photovoltaic energy project as part of the 52 MW Capital Partners Solar Project in North Carolina that will supply electricity for American University, George Washington University and the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

The project, owned by Duke Energy Renewables, consists of three sites. Phase 1, now under construction in Pasquotank County, N.C., is expected to reach commercial operation by the end of the year. JinkoSolar is supplying the 92,000 JKM300P-72 and JKM305P-72 solar modules for the first site. Two other sites are scheduled to be completed in 2015.

SunEnergy1 developed the sites and is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor.
