Over the past three months, Sungevity has hired David Dunlap as its chief operations officer (COO), Steve Atherton as its chief technology officer (CTO), Walter Conroy as its general counsel and Liz Ludwig as its vice president of corporate business development.

In the newly created position of COO, Dunlap oversees the company's customer-facing operational functions and reports directly to CEO Andrew Birch. Most recently, Dunlap was executive vice president of operations and client services at educational services company Inside Track Inc.

As CTO, Atherton also reports directly to Birch. He previously served as vice president of engineering for SunRun. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Atherton brings to the company a proven track record of building and optimizing technical organizations.

Conroy joins the Sungevity leadership team from SunEdison, where he served as head of legal for the company's global special situations group. Prior to his role at SunEdison, he was a partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP. As general counsel at Sungevity, Conroy will also report directly to Birch.

As the newest member of the Sungevity leadership team, Ludwig serves as vice president of corporate business development. Prior to joining Sungevity, she held a range of progressive executive roles with Black & Decker. Ludwig has 16 years of Fortune 300 experience, ranging from strategic planning to brand marketing to channel development. Ludwig will report directly to Patrick Crane, Sungevity's chief marketing officer.
