Suniva And Freedom Solar Power Add Array To Whole Foods

0

Suniva Inc., a Georgia-based manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, says it is now powering Whole Foods Market in Austin, Texas.

The store features a 186 kW array consisting of Suniva's OPTimus modules – the largest solar installation in Texas for Whole Foods Market, Suniva says.

Austin-based Freedom Solar Power designed and installed the array, with a roof-mounted solar awning and an in-lobby monitoring system that shows the energy savings. The modules and the balance-of-system components were provided to Freedom Solar Power thru Gexpro, a Suniva strategic distribution partner.
