Suniva Inc., a manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon solar cells and modules, and FLS Energy, a North Carolina-based solar energy generation company, have announced they will integrate Suniva's solar modules in a series of installations in the southeastern U.S.
The first project is a 550 kW solar farm that will occupy a former landfill, and implementation is currently under way in North Carolina. FLS Energy has a 20-year power purchase agreement to sell the solar generated electricity to Progress Energy.
The Suniva modules are part of the company's ARTisun series solar cells and deliver a peak power output of up to 300 W.
