Suniva Inc. has supplied its OPTimus photovoltaic solar modules for the 1.9 MW solar array at the South Cary Water Reclamation Facility in North Carolina. The electricity generated from the solar plant goes to the grid to service the treatment plant and surrounding homes.
The solar project was made possible at no cost to ratepayers through a public-private partnership with Duke Energy and FLS Energy. Developer and owner FLS Energy will maintain the system while leasing the land from the city.
