Suniva Inc., a Georgia-based manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, recently partnered with solar distributor DMSolar on several solar projects in Mexico totaling over 2 MW.

The partnership’s latest project, a 300 kW rooftop installation in Leon, Guanajuato, went live in November. SMARTPV, the installer and integrator based in Guadalajara, selected Suniva’s 330 W Optimus panels for the project’s end-user and energy owner, Acopol, a Mexican manufacturer of commercialized goods.

“Suniva is pleased to partner with Mexico’s DMSolar,” says Pat King, vice president of distribution channels at Suniva. “Many local companies are realizing the significance of high power density and how it will yield a stronger solar investment – Suniva’s technology is ideal for this market.”

Yusef Kanchi, director of DMSolar, remarks, “DMSolar is very happy to have formed a strong partnership with Suniva.”
