Georgia-based Suniva Inc. has supplied its crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules for the Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center in Park City, Utah.
The 85,000 square-foot facility serves the municipality and is a venue for the Sundance Film Festival. The solar project is expected to offset 20% of the building's energy consumption.
Alpenglow Solar engineered and installed the array, which consists of Suniva Optimus modules and Solectria inverters. The project also includes a SolrenView monitoring system. Project components were sourced by distributor Russell Pacific.
‘The aesthetically pleasing black-frame module was selected due to its high visibility from the building entrance and road,’ says Jay Miles, vice president of distributed sales at Russell Pacific.
