Solar thermal technology company Sunnovations Inc. says it has been awarded the industry-standard OG-300 certification by the Solar Rating and Certification Corp. (SRCC) on 41 of its system configurations for residential solar water heating.
According to the company, its systems are currently the only ‘self-pumped’ systems certified to OG-300 by the SRCC, as well as the only closed-loop glycol systems certified by the SRCC to use PEX for the solar loop piping.
The ‘self-pumped’ systems are designed to continue working when a power outage occurs, or in off-grid applications.
