SunPower Corp. has constructed a 1 MW solar power system on the roof of the Masdar Institute building in Masdar City, located on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi. The system is installed on a canopy structure that provides shade for the roof terrace.
‘The Masdar Institute is the nucleus of research and development activities in Masdar City and has a key role in the development of the city,’ says SunPower Managing Director Jorn Jurgens. The installation uses SunPower's E19 solar panels.
