Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. has engaged a third production shift at its new solar panel manufacturing facility in Goodyear, Ariz. The expansion adds another 30 solar jobs to Arizona's solar economy, the company notes.
The module manufacturing facility will now run 24 hours per day with 107 employees. The new group of employees completed training on May 13, after weeks working side-by-side with the facility's existing first and second production shifts.
The expansion brings the facility's annualized production throughput to about 50 MW, representing 15,000 solar panels per month, according to Suntech.
