Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. says David King has stepped down as CEO and acting chief financial officer (CFO).
Zhou Weiping has assumed the roles of interim CEO and interim CFO while retaining his positions as president and member of the board of directors. The company says the board will first search for a new CFO.
On Aug. 27, three members of Suntech's board of directors resigned. The company filed for insolvency in June.
‘We would like to thank David for his service and I'm confident that I will be able to lead the company and, along with all our stakeholders, implement the restructuring plan over the coming months,’ Zhou says.
