Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. has released two new solar panels that are now available for purchase in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
The HiPerforma 245 W module for residential, commercial and utility-scale applications is manufactured using Suntech's Pluto technology, which features a metallization process that reduces shading on the cell surface and allows cells to absorb more sunlight.
The new Suntech 290 W Vd Series module for utility-scale applications is derived from Suntech's SuperPoly silicon-casting and wafering process, which the company says produces higher-quality multicrystalline wafers. The improved wafer enables higher power output and strong resistance to light-induced degradation.
