Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. has introduced Reliathon, an integrated solar platform that reduces total system costs by as much as 10% and offers increases in revenue potential, with 13.8% more power warranted over the lifetime of the system, according to the company.
Reliathon combines Suntech modules, a new utility-grade warranty for the Suntech module, and pre-agreed preferential pricing and business terms with inverter and tracking companies Advanced Energy, Array Technologies, Satcon, Siemens Industry and SMA.
The product includes the new Suntech Reliathon 270 W module, which features self-aligning panels, integrated grounding and wire management, as well as a new two-in-one design with two 36-cell regions featuring independent circuits.
In addition, Array Technologies' DuraTrack system was designed specifically for Suntech Reliathon, and makes use of two motors per megawatt, versus the typical four motors per megawatt, further reducing the material costs of the system, Suntech adds.
Reliathon modules and system components will be available in the U.S. for immediate orders, with shipment scheduled for the second quarter of 2010. Non-U.S. inquiries are welcome.
