Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. and Trina Solar Ltd. have both signed contracts to supply solar technology to Enel.si, a subsidiary of Italy-based power company Enel.
Suntech has signed a two-year agreement with Enel.si for the supply of 30 MW of PV modules in late 2008 and 2009. Trina Solar, also through a two-year agreement, will supply Enel.si with a total of 17 MW of PV modules starting this year, including 15 MW of scheduled deliveries for 2009 at fixed prices.
‘Suntech has an excellent reputation for delivering premium-quality, high-power-output solar modules, and we are pleased to enter this partnership with them,’ says Paolo Riccardo Felicioli, managing director of Enel.si.
‘The new contract [with Trina Solar] adds products to our portfolio, which becomes – day by day – larger and more diversified,’ he adds.
