SunWize Commercial Power Systems, the nationwide commercial installation division of SunWize Technologies Inc., has been awarded solar power contracts exceeding $7.8 million by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
The contracts consist of 10 solar hospital projects that call for more than 1.1 MW of photovoltaic systems to be installed in locations across the country.
The set of rooftop and carport systems vary in size from under 50 kW to more than 400 kW. All of the systems will utilize SANYO 210 W N-Series modules coupled with either SatCon or Fronius inverters. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2010.
