Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd. has introduced Paralex, its massively parallel operating system for thin-film PV systems, at the Genera '09 trade show in Madrid, Spain.
Using the company's low-voltage inverter technology, the array architecture used in Paralex systems offers 5% to 15% improved energy yield per kilowatt installed, through the elimination of panel mismatch losses and reduction of partial shading losses, says Sustainable Energy Technologies.
Paralex uses a selection of approved compatible components, including modules, inverters and cable. The company is currently working with distributors to expand the availability of Paralex-compatible products for installers in all regions of Spain. Distributors who are interested in offering equipment for these systems are encouraged to contact the company for a list of manufacturers and models of approved products.
Information sessions for installers and project developers are scheduled for this summer.
