Targray Technology International says it is now supplying Giga Solar Materials Corp.'s next generation of aluminum paste for monocrystalline and multicrystalline silicon solar cells.
The paste has been optimized for a variety of requirements, including higher efficiency, higher peak firing temperatures, hot water tests and superior adhesion, according to Targray.
‘Cell manufacturers are constantly looking for low-bowing aluminum pastes in order to save costs and move to thinner silicon wafers while maintaining low cell breakage rates,’ says Patrick Boutard, PV product manager at Targray. ‘This new generation focuses specifically on this necessity, and our customers have reported a 0.05 percent to 0.1 percent increase in efficiency with this new line of 136 aluminum paste.’
