Harrisburg, Pa.-based TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, has extended its line of warning and rating labels with new RoHS-compliant solar identification labels.

This new product-line extension includes labels that meet National Electric Code (NEC) specifications for the U.S. solar installation market and Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) specifications for the Canadian solar installation market.

Designed with UV-resistant ink, UV-resistant base material and permanent acrylic adhesive, the labels are durable in outdoor environments and exhibit resilience to rain, humidity, UV rays, salt spray and other threats, the company says. Target applications include surfaces constructed with smooth painted metal or textured metal.

In addition, the labels meet various industry specifications, such as ASTM D 3652 physical construction, ASTM D 3330 adhesion, ASTM D 2979 adhesion, ASTM D 3424 method 4 UV light exposure, ASTM G85 annex 5 salt spray and ASTM 81531 print adherence.
