The teamtechnik Group, based in Freiburg, Germany, has introduced the TT1200 HS stringer system, which the company says can solder solar cell strings in a 2.5-second cycle on one track.
A single track means higher throughput per soldering process, less complexity, fewer replacement parts and fewer operators, the company adds. The system's design allows teamtechnik to ensure 1,400 cycles/hour, as well as breakage rates ranging from from 0.1% to 0.3%, depending on the type of cell.
