Tecta Solar says it recently completed the installation of a 542 kW rooftop solar photovoltaic system for Shop Solar LLC in Whitinsville, Mass. The system is projected to generate 627 MWh of energy in its first year of operation.
Tecta Solar designed, engineered and constructed the project, which is located on two rooftops in the Shop Solar building complex. Prior to the installation of the system, Tecta's local roofing operating unit replaced the roofs.
‘This installation is the first part of a two-phase project,’ says Brett Chapman, Tecta Solar's general manager of New England. ‘Phase two is a 231 kW system with Suntech polycrystalline modules and UNI-SOLAR thin-film laminates that will be finished by the end of the year.’
