Telamon Corp.’s energy solutions division recently completed a 1 MW rooftop solar array at the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corp. (IndyGo) facility in Indianapolis. Telamon served as the system designer and engineer by performing construction oversight and serving as the owner’s representative.
The four-acre solar array will produce enough power to offset the charging of 13 electric buses and, according to IndyGo, will lower operational costs and save energy and resources.
“Telamon is happy to play a role in helping IndyGo lead the transit industry in alternative energy,” says Mike Morley, project manager and Telamon energy solutions engineer. “We are also proud to state that the project was completed on schedule and under budget.”
