tenKsolar, a Minneapolis-based provider of commercial rooftop PV systems, has closed a $15.5 million financing round led by Hanwha and U.K.-based ESB Novusmodus.
Hanwha owns a controlling stake in Hanwha SolarOne, a vertically integrated solar provider. ESB Novusmodus is a cleantech fund backed by Irish state utility ESB.
According to Dallas Meyer, founder, president and chief technology officer of tenKsolar, the new partnerships provide the company with a ‘strategic investor base’ that will alow it to increase its global presence.
