Thomas & Betts has released the Kindorf solar module fittings, which include hold-down clamps and a grounding washer.
According to the company, the product's design features allow for a fast and easy installation, including hardware that is pre-assembled on the clamp and a self-oriented channel nut that is staked to the bolt. It is available in both ‘T’ and ‘L’ configurations.
‘As solar panels get thinner and more efficient, mounting systems must be flexible and adaptable, as well as strong,’ says Chad Smith, director of product management at Thomas & Betts.
The fittings are made of rugged, corrosion-resistant materials, the company adds. The body and channel nut are made from high-strength, extruded aluminum alloy 6061-T6 with a clear, anodized finish, and the bolt, lock washer and flat washer are made from Type 304 stainless steel.
