Tigo Energy has released its Smart Curve stringing technology for so-called smart module PV systems that it says enables 30% more modules to be connected in series while still remaining within 600 V or 1000 V NEC safety norms.
Tigo Energy says Smart Curve is based on a voltage-limiting device directly in the module, which enables a manufacturer to program the maximum voltage of its module in the factory. The company says Smart Curve has received certification from CSA and TUV Rheinland for use worldwide and is currently available.
